Dr. Nicholas Micka

Dr. Nicholas Micka grew up in the Quad Cities. When he was younger, he would see his mom suffer from intense migraines that she would have to take pain killers for, experience minimal relief, and be bedridden the entire day. It was a regular pattern that he hated to see his mom go through.

At one of her primary Doctor visits, he recommended that she get adjusted, and so, she sought out a chiropractor. After the first visit, she experienced immediate relief, and she was stunned. This had a major impact on Dr. Micka. He was shocked that by moving a bone out of alignment, you could fix the problem instead of masking the symptoms with drugs.

He wanted to be a chiropractor, and so he went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2010.

After graduating, Dr. Micka practiced in Tuscola Il, where he expanded upon his training in clinical nutrition.

Dr. Micka and his wife, Amber, decided to move to Rockford in 2013 so that he could practice at Caraotta Chiropractic. It was, and still is, a huge honor and privilege for him to work in an environment that loves God and loves people as it’s primary focus.

Dr. Micka loves providing quality chiropractic care for people, and he is also experienced in other techniques such as Graston and Active Release Techniques. These are advanced muscle releasing techniques that help treat sports and everyday injuries.

He has been using both chiropractic and muscle release techniques successfully to help people with neck and back disc and arthritic problems, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, shoulder injuries, knee arthritis, plantar fasciitis, and various other conditions.

Dr. Micka has additional training in Chiropractic BioPhysics, which enables him to recognize and correct specific postural abnormalities and imbalances.

“It is my passion to help people with poor spinal hygiene and postural issues. It can be really painful and can severely limit the quality of life in that person. One of the best parts of my job is seeing people get their life back. Helping others meet their health goals, whether it be walking, running, playing with their kids and grandkids again, or any other goal they may have, is my top priority.”

When he is not in the office, Dr. Micka enjoys spending time outside with his wife and 3 children. He also enjoys weight training, which is a hobby he started in middle school and is what helped him realize his passion for being healthy and promoting health even at an early age.

Dr. Micka and his wife are active members of their church family, and they support many outreach ministries in the community.
